Awesome

I first came to Dolgoed after a bad experience at my previous riding school and I got my confidence back. All the ponies are great and, admittedly, some of them are a tad lazy but which ponies aren't? All the instructors really help me to improve me riding and the own a pony days, stable management days and dressage/jumping days are really good fun.

Not great

My kids went there for 2 lessons last summer. I wasn't happy with the first lesson but decided to let them go again in case it was just an off day. It wasn't. The ponies are all on auto-pilot, following each other around the menage. The children all had over long reins and little control over the ponies. Most children had their stirrups at the wrong length, and a lot had sloppy positions. None of these problems were addressed by the instructor.
