34 Colwyn Avenue,
This used to be the best Fish and Chips around when it was Rhos Fish Fry, but since it has been The Galleon the food quality has gone down in proportion to the prices going up.The chips are now pale and tasteless compared to not only RFF but other shops in the area. They are also full of bad bits. The batter on the fish is nice but you get a lot more batter than fish. The worse thing about this shop is the fact that they cook in Beef dripping but has no notice to warn vegetarian customers. even worse, I was in the queue next to someone who ordered Vegetable pie and chips, and the staff did not mention the beef to someone who was more than likely not a meat eater. The cafe is nice and reasonably prices, although the tables are squashed far too close together. The staff are also young and not enthusiastic. They are quite often too busy talking amongst themselves to serve the customers. They will also standing around waiting for food rather than serve the next customer or explain why there is a wait.
