Microcomputer workshops limited was established in 1984 as a third party maintenance company. They have earned an enviable reputation for excellent customer support of both public sector and private sector clients. Their field service operation, currently consisting of fifteen experienced and qualified systems engineers, is backed up by a sophisticated automated call response system and fully equipped workshop and testing facilities. Their systems engineering skills base includes Microsoft, Novell, Cisco and Citrix platforms. Programming and application development skills include access, asp, asp. Net, php, html and various rad tools and languages. The whole operation is set up to be easily scalable to any size to cope with larger demands. Mwl currently does work for North Wales Police, the national probation service, and Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire county councils. In addition contracts are in place with a number of regional and central organisations in the field of UK law enforcement. Clients are also based around the small to medium sized businesses across the UK. There is an approved iso 9001:2000 quality management system in place which comprises a quality manual, backed up by appropriate specific policies, procedures and work instructions. In 2001, in recognition of its progressive career development and training policies, the company was awarded the investors in people recognition. MLW project teams keep in very close contact with clients, as there are no tiers of organisation or management to go through. Each contract has a dedicated manager and his deputy who is available at all times as are the company directors. Greater accessibility is afforded through the strategic location of the company's headquarters covering North Wales, Midlands, Cheshire and North West England. MLW have achieved hp preferred partner for 2006, 1 company of only 200 in the UK, Zen platinum partners, Draytek enterprise partner, Oracle partner network, Sage business partner and Jetro integrator partner. In june 2006, MWL was awarded Microsoft's highest level of accreditation - Microsoft gold certified partner and further distinguishes itself by earning a Microsoft competency in network infrastructure solutions. These awards together recognise MWL's expertise and total impact in the technology market place.
