A break in the weather!

With a gap in the weather it was decided that we would head out with the plugs for a few hours after closing time at Menai Angling. The venue was chosen with a few factors which we had to take into account, like the position of the sun and the clarity of the water as we wanted to get some decent shots of the working lures.The two of us out both started on the Ima Sasuke 105 which is a great little lure from Ima with a weight of 13 grams and a length of 105mm it cast realy well with an average wind of 10mph blowing slightly, the action of the Ima Sasuke was realy quite good with a slight erratic movement which when aided with a flick of the wrist produced a good movement, the use of the Sasuke by Ima was short lived as with the dropping tide we soon found ourselves in around 30 inches of water which the Sasuke was bottoming out in. All round though the Ima Sasuke is a cracking little lure that casts very well and would be suited in any Bass anglers lure box.I then chose the Ima Komomo 11 SF-125 lure to use, the lure itself is 125mm long and with a weight of 16grams it cast realy well with its internal shifting weight system, the action of the Ima Komomo SF-125 is a tight wobble and roll. Its action not very erratic and on the heavier rods could only just feel it in the tip, all that being said the thing i realy liked about the Komomo SF was if you lift your rod tip high and slow the retrieve down the lure worked just under the surface of the water, overall i liked the Ima Komomo SF-125 as it suited the area well we were fishing with its shallow water capability of working in the first 30cm of water.More to follow .....................
